After the breathtaking Fall colours in Québec City yesterday our visit to the Ile d’Orlean today was just as spectacular with our first stop at the Montmorency Falls in the Parc de la Chute-Montmorency, before crossing the bridge to the Island where we picked apples, enjoyed the best strawberries and savoured every glorious colour-filled moment.
I can’t think of a better way to celebrate my 1000th post than with these images from our memorable visit today to this beautiful Ile d’Orleans here in the Province of Québec.Home to Vancouver and the west coast tomorrow.
What could be better than seeing our beautiful granddaughter
and all the other children having fun in the water park today.
Now if only there was one for seniors!
A frosty early morning walk last January was rewarded with this view from Hadden Park in Vancouver looking west to English Bay, with a backdrop of distant snow-capped peaks and the ski slopes of Cypress Mountain to the North, all bathed in a glorious rosy pink light from a spectacular sunrise in the east. A magical moment to be remembered, savoured and shared.
A little love from Mother Earth for Mother’s Day
With a thank you to Cheri one final post for the last day of this week’s Photo Challenge as we catch the Aquabus back to Granville Island and head on home. Here you have a better view of the third bridge that crosses False Creek, the Cambie Street Bridge, and in the distance below the span you can just make out the geodesic dome of Science World from where we have just walked and from where yesterday’s panorama was taken.
Before we leave one final view of Burrard Bridge where these last seven days of landscape photos began last Friday. I hope you have enjoyed the views as much as we did on our walk last weekend. Thanks for joining us.
