Let The Games Begin

Looking forward to the start of the 2022 Winter Olympic and Paralympic Games and wishing Sara Villani and Melissa Lotholz together with all of Team Canada every success in Beijing, plus a look back to a few memorable Olympic and Paralympic moments from the 2018 games in PyeongChang to whet our appetites for the excitement that’s ahead.

Olympic Moment VI – Mark Arendz

Thank you and congratulations to Team Canada and to all the athletes of the Pyeongchang Paralympic Games for inspiring us this week, and congratulations to Mark Arendz, Canada’s flag bearer for the closing ceremony, on his six medals including Gold in the 15 K Standing Biathlon. These have been his third Paralympic games since losing his arm at the age of seven in a farming accident.

not just about the medals

Paralympic Moment V

Although Canada’s Michelle Salt may have just missed the podium it’s not only about the medals as her athleticism, optimism and positivity are all inspirational enough.

Hear her “incredible story” in her own words and understand why.
