the fourth season

Having shared with you the glories of Spring, Summer and Fall in the Pacific Spirit Park over the past year, today it is Winter’s turn. What a special place it has been for us, raising our spirits every day as it did once again on this cold frosty day today. How lucky we feel, and we never take it for granted.

on reflection

On this rainy Monday morning looking back to the week behind us from our walks in the Pacific Spirit Park and reflecting on the week ahead for our troubled world.

“embraced, enriched, alive”

Thank you to whoever posted this beautiful poem in the Pacific Spirit Park today.

“the bending rays of occasional winter sun”

a weekend to remember

So much to be grateful for as we spent this wonderful weekend with our daughter and granddaughter on Vancouver Island where we visited the East Sooke Regional Park, and Witty’s Lagoon Regional Park in Metchosin. It was love, love, love for every glorious precious moment ❤️

after the rain

With the need to escape the news for a while today what better place for reflection than the Pacific Spirit Park after the rain.

thoughts elsewhere

Yesterday as the Pacific Spirit Park sparkled in the glorious sunshine, and recognizing how fortunate we are here in Beautiful British Columbia, my thoughts are very much with all those suffering the horrific fires in Washington, Oregon, California and Arizona, with my condolences to those who have lost loved ones and communities and very much hoping that their landscapes will soon be restored to the beautiful places that I know they are.

park perfect

Labor Day Pacific Spirit Park visit with a little different take for a change.
Hope yours was a good one too.
