Visited an old painting of mine today, my interpretation of the original logo of the UBC Health Sciences Centre Hospital in Vancouver and painted in my basement in 1987. The Hospital is now part of Vancouver Coastal Health but happy to see the painting looks as fresh today as the day it was finished.
A superb abstract painting…

Vibrant and vivacious and very appropriate to a hospital giving out vavavoom energy to those in need be they patients or staff. Chapeau, Andrew …. it’s fabulous and I am certain the hospital treasure it. 1987 was the year my eldest daughter was born 🙂

Andrew, this has completely inspired me! what a vibrant and alive artwork, it sings – I love it. Looking closer at each brush stroke, was amazing. I imagine seeing it in person, would be so much better! Now…. wishing I could get outside and ‘whack on the paints on a huge canvas! may need to ‘share’ this painting. I adore it. cheers, Debi

Thanks so much for such lovely comments Debi. Why don’t you come and see it in person 🙂 and of course I’d be honoured if you chose to share it.

Andrew, I haven’t ruled that out! Though my visit went from 87 days to 30. Due to a compliance issue with an Australian prescription not being allowed for my full stay. Much on my agenda now… deleted.
I wanted to see Vancouver art scene. Its tantalizing close! We’ll see how it goes. Its a shame but, US rules are rules. to be Obeyed. lol
