  4. I love this picture, really I do …. but the Masefield immediately brought to mind Spike Milligan’s version:

    I must go down to the sea again,
    to the lonely sea and the sky;
    I left my shoes and socks there –
    I wonder if they’re dry?

      1. Boris certainly should have thought twice. About a number of things. Buy hey – he’s just been made Foreign Secretary (what?) I fear we need The Goons and TWTWTW and probably Monty Python for good measure more than ever!!
