Happy Thanksgiving

Happy American Thanksgiving to all my wonderful family and friends south of the border. As on our own Canadian Thanksgiving last month today is a moment to be thankful not only for the love of family and friends but for all those heroes working tirelessly on the frontline saving lives. With the coming new leadership that path in the woods will surely lead to happier, healthier and more hopeful days ahead but my thoughts today are of course on the six hundred and sixty six children and their families for whom this Thanksgiving Day is very much the opposite of happy. Keep them in your thoughts today too.

12 new leaves and family

666...in progress – Day XXVII

After drawing today’s 12 leafs I was lucky enough to be able to spend an afternoon with our two beautiful grandchildren. I couldn’t help thinking about the separated children the leaves represent and how important it is to keep them and their families in our thoughts each every day until they are all reunited.

seeing the light

Looking up in the Pacific Spirit Park last week as the early morning sun illuminated those beautiful autumn leaves beneath the majestic soaring pines.

The leaves may be falling but our spirits are rising each day.

the view is sunny

It may be cloudy today with a forecast of snow here in Vancouver
but the view as the week begins couldn’t be sunnier.

546 day XV – First leaf of the day, and looking up with number 303 against a blue, blue sky.
No stopping the count here.

six of the best

Six of the best from yesterday in the Pacific Spirit Park with which to start the week, a week that may the most consequential for us all in a long time.
