“world’s greatest athlete”

Congratulations to Damian Warner, Decathlon Olympic Champion of the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games. With his Olympic record-setting 9018 points he becomes only the fourth athlete ever to receive more than 9000 points and the first Canadian Olympic decathlon gold medalist. The unofficial title of “world’s greatest athlete” could not be more deserving. What an achievement! What a day! 🇨🇦

the golden couple

After posting my painting of Canada’s bobsleigh gold medalists from the 2018 Winter Olympics yesterday how could I not re-post these little paintings of Canada’s golden couple Tessa Virtue and Scott Moir to re-celebrate today’s third anniversary of their Gold Medal Ice Dance performance to Moulin Rouge at the 2018 games; four never-to-be-forgotten magical minutes of dance, athleticism and sublime artistry.
