Owl Canyon Study I 6.5.15
I think this treasured feather from Owl Canyon has magical properties.
Anemones 30.4.15
Anemones Variation 30.4.15
Studio 365 is mobile once again this weekend in the mountains of Whistler/Blackcombe in Beautiful British Columbia. Before we left home I photographed yesterday’s anemones that had opened this morning, together with a Warholesque photo-edited variation.
En route from Scottsdale to Page we stopped off at Arcosanti…”an urban laboratory focused on innovative design, community, and environmental accountability.” to quote their home page. Enjoy the slideshow and visit their site to learn more about its history and the science or Arcology.
Antelope Canyon tomorrow.
Today’s painting from the studio is in anticipation of our trip to Arizona, Utah and Nevada. We leave tomorrow for Phoenix, which means Studio 365 will be on the road for the next ten days. In order to keep to my goal of a post from the studio each day throughout the year I am designating my laptop and camera my mobile studio until we return on the 27th. Nothing like a trip however to make you tidy up before leaving!
A little about today’s painting: acrylic and plaster on canvas 78″ x 64″. Once the plaster was dry the rock faces were created with a combination of sandpaper, chisels (my late father’s) and a little imagination.
