Studio 365: Day 7

Day 7 iv

Today in the studio je suis Charlie and send my condolences and heartfelt sympathy to the families, friends and colleagues of all those murdered in Paris today.

Studio 365: Day 1

studioii

It’s a new day, a New Year and time as you can see for a new header and a new goal. My resolution for 2015 is to spend more time painting and less time blogging. Since I plan to be in the studio most days my goal is to post a photo from the studio each day throughout the year.

2014 was the year of the Monday Bouquet on thechangingpalette, 2015 will be the year of Studio 365.  I hope you’ll pop by from time to time and see how it’s all going. Wishing everyone a very Happy New Year.

A Year of Monday Bouquets

When I published the first Monday Bouquet at the beginning of the year I wrote that my goal for 2014 would be “to post a bouquet, photographed or painted, each Monday throughout the year.” With the posting of yesterday’s Monday Bouquet, which is to be the last, I’m happy to say that my goal has been met.

I hope you enjoy the warmth and colour of today’s gallery of all the bouquets and perhaps find one that you might like to download to brighten your days in the year to come. If you do, let me know which one you choose. I certainly have my favourites now that I see them all together for the first time.

My thanks to all of you for visiting this past year and commenting so warmly.

Wishing everyone a very Happy New Year.

One Four Challenge: Dec Wk 4 – Poll

onefour 3v  onefour 3

This has been an interesting four weeks experimenting with Photoshop Elements for Robyn’s One Four Challenge, as you can see. The original photo is of the skyline of Vancouver’s West End against the North Shore mountains as the sun was setting on December 1st. The first image was the result of pushing the Gaussian Blur to the limit with a surprising result. I then continued creating layers with differing degrees of colour saturation and lighting levels. I could have used a number of variations but chose these four. It will be interesting to see your favourite if you contribute to the poll.

I hope Santa was good to you 🙂

For this special Christmas Edition of Leanne Cole’s Monochrome Madness, the last of the year, we are all adding a splash of colour.  To see all the great submissions visit Leanne’s blog and enjoy a wonderful potpourri of great images, all with a touch of colour.

Best wishes for the holidays everyone, and thanks Leanne 🙂
