I love the wonderful contrasts of tone and color you’ve created; the rich molecular blood red paint dripping across the surface is very demanding. So I must ask… What, were you contemplating with this one Andrew?
Thanks Debi. I was using this as an exercise for a painting I am planning, and then it took on a life of its own…and I went along for the ride 🙂 Glad I did!
It is a beautiful contemplative study in colour. I like how the black background adds to the palette and is not just there to hold the paint. It’s active, which I enjoy very much.

yes! it surely seemed as if there were a ‘story’ behind the brushstrokes. Well, at least, that is what I ‘felt’ from viewing it. 🙂
