I can’t think of anything more perfect with which to respond to this first photo challenge of the year from Jen than these two photos of our beautiful granddaughter exactly one year apart enjoying Santa’s gifts on Xmas day.

Growth was also seen in our family in 2017 as we celebrated the birth of our second beautiful granddaughter in May who like her cousin gives her parents and grandparents nothing but pure joy.

backdrop to a life revisited
A year ago almost to the day you may remember I posted backdrop to a life part 1 and part 2. This was in response to the Discover Challenge from the Daily Post: Finding Your Place, in which we are asked by Cheri to bring a place alive that means something to you.
Yesterday the snow returned to Vancouver and whilst not as heavy as last year my muse, Kitsilano Beach, became a winter wonderland once again.
Today the snow stopped, the sun shone and camera in hand how could I not venture out and capture it all.
