It was the first time, and it wouldn’t be the last.
On January 7th 2015 I spelled out Je Suis Charlie on my studio floor. It was the first time. Six days later on January 11th, as millions marched around the world, I used my palette to express solidarity in the best way I knew how. Later in the year on November 14th it became necessary once again to turn to my palette and to write the three words, Je suis Paris. Then on March 22nd of this year I became Belge et Bruxelles, and as recently as June 12th, Orlando.
With a heavy heart and in response to this week’s Discover Challenge: Opening line
It’s so awful. Once again…. 😦

very moving and tragic that you have to yet again, write these words.

Its great isn’t it? Know that the world uses your words to express their feelings…?

The world has seen too much sadness of late Andrew. But you’ve addressed it beautifully

Thanks Tina. It’s all just too sad, and today again in Baghdad. There really are no words. Speak soon.

Thank you for making this and thank you for posting it. I have been quite disgusted that the news channels in England relegated this attrocity to third or fourth place on the news channels behind the machiovelian nonsense that is playing out in the aftermath of the vote. That more human lives have been brutally obliterated is far far more important than any ludicrous political gavotte can ever be.

Sadly the “gavotte” continues, as do the atrocities with Bangladesh today joining the ever growing list of cities of carnage. Will it ever end? I fear not.
