I’ve only just picked up the news. Damn you early nights. I knew him for a while – the only person amongst all those I was fortunate enough to clean boots for who rivalled Freddie in the sheer magnetism stakes. He was a beauteous creature from another world, a living breathing artwork and the world is dimmer without him. RIP Ziggie, Aladdin, Thin White Duke, Goblin King and kick some stardust in heaven
