Studio 365: Day 353

With Day 365 less than two weeks away and with all of the holiday season activities to enjoy with family and friends, for these final few days of the year I thought I would share some older pieces from the studio as well as look back at some of the highlights of the year since Day 1.

Day 353 vi

Landscape of the imagination 1991

My resolution for 2015 on that first day was to spend more time painting, with a goal of posting a photo from the studio each day throughout the year. During the times we were away I declared my camera and laptop my “mobile studio” so that I could continue to blog each day. I’m happy to say that with twelve days to go my goal and the finish line are almost in sight.

Studio 365: Day 1

It’s a new day, a New Year and time as you can see for a new header and a new goal. My resolution for 2015 is to spend more time painting and less time blogging. Since I plan to be in the studio most days my goal is to post a photo from the studio each day throughout the year.

2014 was the year of the Monday Bouquet on thechangingpalette, 2015 will be the year of Studio 365.  I hope you’ll pop by from time to time and see how it’s all going. Wishing everyone a very Happy New Year.

Bloggaversary

Machu Picchu

Today, May 19th, marks the One Year Anniversary of thechangingpalette.

Happy Birthday to me!

I started blogging one year ago as a complete novice with machupicchucountdownin preparation for our trek to Machu Picchu, the adventure of a lifetime .  With this week’s Weekly Photo Challenge: Work of Art, my recent painting of this archeological wonder seems to be the perfect way to celebrate the occasion.

Thank you to WordPress who make it all possible, to the great people at The Daily Post who have made me a better blogger (I hope), and to all of you who have been gracious enough to follow me on my journey. Over the year I have met so many of you in the blogosphere and have enjoyed your company as we have travelled together to distant lands and shared new adventures.

I look forward to Year Two of the thechangingpalette and very much hope that you will continue to join me on my journey.  With best wishes…Andrew

I started posting to the Weekly Photo Challenge in September and have submitted to each of the fifteen challenges since. This composite photo has snippets from each of my posts, so the puzzle is for you to work out which snippet belongs to which challenge. If you are visiting for the first time, welcome, and why not have a go. The fifteen challenges are: Lines and Patterns; Saturated; Good Morning; Infinite; The Hue of You; Horizon; Eerie; Habit; Layers; Unexpected; Let There Be Light; Grand; Community; One; and Joy. Good luck! You will find the solution at the end, but first…
