On this inaugural first ever Canadian Women Physicians’ Day, chosen to honor Dr Jennie Trout who was the first woman licensed to practice medicine in Canada in 1875, I celebrate all the amazing women I have had the privilege of learning from and working with over the nearly 60 years since my first day as a medical student in 1964. I honor and thank them all.
