the wrong road

teddyii

After yesterday’s right road all I can feel today is an overwhelming sense of sadness and despair as we remember beautiful little five year old Taliyah Marsman, whose body was found by the road yesterday, and her mother both murdered in Calgary this week, together with all of the other children murdered with their parents in Nice yesterday, including eleven year old Brodie Copeland and his father Sean from Texas, mown down with so many others on the Promenade des Anglais.  We remember them all with a heavy heart, and once again express our sympathy and solidarity with the people of France together with all of the families around the world who may be grieving today .

There are no more words except,

Je suis…un homme qui pleure aujourd’hui.

  1. How many more? How many? How many more moving images will you need to paint before this insanity is done. My optimism is failing me as my heart breaks afresh. Children. For God’s sakes. Children. What HAVE we done.

      1. I’m sitting here trying to think of something to write because a couple of my US followers have urged me to do so but I am dry of words as I drown in tears.

  2. my sorrow, breaks into rage I think. I don’t see an end to these child-slayers. And when will our society realise what are the consequences – when it will not, can not, does not protect its innocent Children.

  3. Andrew, thank you for your beautiful painting. Only love can drive out hate. I just want to multiply my art, my drawing and painting, during these times, it’s practically all I want to do. Try and put more beauty and positive energy out there and every brush stroke is a prayer. That’s how I think about it. Thank you again for your lovely work.
